In my opinion, the best description of the law of attraction comes from Michael Losier, who states that: “You attract into your life more of whatever you are giving your focus, attention, and energy to.”
It can be bad things (which are typically attracted without your awareness) or good things (which can be deliberate or non-deliberate).
Our goal in practicing the law of attraction is to minimize the non-deliberate negative focus, attention and energy, and replace it with positive. This positive focus, attention and energy will most likely begin as deliberate, and as you are able to successfully practice the law of attraction, will evolve into a combination of deliberate and non-deliberate.
Many explanations of the law of attraction use the term “vibration” or “vibe” to describe the negative or positive energy that is created by our thoughts, and you will see them here as well. You have probably heard the expression “I’m getting a bad vibe about this,” when negative thoughts and energy prevail in a situation.
Where secular law of attraction falls short is that it often counsels you to immediately suppress any bad thought you might have and replace it with “good and happy thoughts.” While this may work at times; at other times it does little more than does putting a Band-Aid on a wound that needs stitches.
Because God’s law of attraction is based on a moral compass, it is important to keep in mind that bad vibes are there for a reason, and they need to be addressed. It is possible that they are misguided and should be replaced by more positive thoughts and vibrations. There is also the potential that they represent a bigger issue that must be dealt with in more detail, perhaps with the help of a pastor or Christian counselor.
At all times, the goal when practicing the law of attraction should be to deliberately increase the positive over the negative vibes in our lives; while at the same time addressing any root issues that negative vibrations bring to light. In that way, you will be able to attract into your life more of what you want and less of what you don’t.
