We are often led to believe that according to the law of attraction “whatever we think about, we create”. True to a point, but Napoleon Hill puts it better by stating “Whatever you believe you can achieve.” Just thinking a negative thought once or twice won’t cause a negative belief.
There is a tremendous amount of pressure to never think a negative thought under the first assumption, and we Christians just love trying to be perfect. So the minute we think a negative thought, we feel we have failed.
The truth is, one little thought doesn’t have all that much power. The power comes from thinking the same thought over and over again, until it’s a belief. The more you think a thought and believe it, the more it affects your vibration and it’s this vibration that attracts. The law of attraction responds to your vibration, not the words you’ve said or thought (although notice that your words and thoughts can affect your vibration).
Just as you need time to embed your positive affirmations into your wiring, one negative thought is not going to cause a limiting belief and make bad things happen to you. It is a series of negative thoughts over time that creates your limiting beliefs. So the goal in allowing in the law of attraction is to reduce the number of your negative thoughts and increase the positive one. 100% compliance is not required. Even a small decrease in your negative thoughts will increase your vibration and reduce the doubt and resistance you feel.
